I remember seeing commercials for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Christmas music as a kid. And the idea seemed pretty cool. Who doesn’t like the sound of Christmas music with electric guitars?

That said, I also never really sought out their music.

It was the kind of thing that came around every season, like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” You don’t really have to seek it out - it will find you eventually every December.

But this year, I finally had the opportunity to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra perform “The Lost Christmas Eve” live, at one of their two performances at the Giant Center in Hershey on Nov.

I knew their live Christmas shows combined some theatrical narrative with the live music. But beyond that, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect.
