After debuting in The Chocolate Factory in October 2023, the Dublin Independent Fashion Weekend was a huge hit with designers and fashion enthusiasts alike. This year, the creatives behind the event have decided to go even bigger.

Irish designers have truly taken the fashion industry by storm as of late.

We are an incredibly creative nation and international fashion houses and industry leaders have really been picking up on these skills.

With the likes of Seán McGirr being appointed head of creative at Alexander McQueen and Jonathan Anderson shaping LOEWE into the covetable brand it is today alongside his own label, the sky is the limit when it comes to Irish designers.

Most recently, Michael Stewart of fashion brand, Standing Ground, won the inaugural Savoir-Faire Prize at the 2024 LVMH Prize earlier this month.

This included a grant of €200,000 and a one year mentorship.

Simone Rocha is also captivating the global fashion scene with her signature gritty yet gorgeous designs being worn by the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, ASAP Rocky and Cara Delevingne.
