Fox News is riding the Donald Trump wave as its coverage of the presidential transition and the first few weeks of his second term powered the network to its highest-rated January ever.

For that matter, all three networks are seeing positive growth among total viewers and the Adults 25-54 demo during primetime and total day for the the first month of 2025.

CNN enjoyed the largest spike of the trio with triple-digit gains in the primetime demo.

Still, Trump’s return to the Oval Office has largely kept viewers glued to Fox News. The network grew its audience by +40% year-over-year in total viewership and +61% in the demo.

But MSNBC must be feeling some sense of relief as viewers return to a network that’s in the midst of leadership and corporate change.

There was a significant increase in viewership in both dayparts, which can be credited to the return of Rachel Maddow, who is back to hosting her show five nights a week during Trump’s first 100 days.

CNN is also feeling good about its January numbers, which were boosted by its coverage of the Los Angeles wildfires.
